Mr. Daniel Richards, a NASSP/ Virco National Assistant Principal of the Year finalist, and MASSA Massachusetts Assistant Principal of the Year, has been a teacher in the Newton Public School District (Newton, MA),  assistant principal in the Belmont Public School District (Belmont, MA), and principal of Melrose High School in the Melrose Public School District (Melrose, MA). As a school leader, he has successfully created and implemented professional development focused around 21st century learning and coordinated school and district-wide programs which recognize and celebrates the diversity of all faculty, staff and students. Mr. Richards’ education includes a Masters degree in Education Leadership from Salem University in Salem, MA and a Masters degree in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from Cambridge College in Cambridge, MA. Previously, Mr. Richards served as a high school business, math and computer teacher and has worked in the private sector.
